The Winnetka-Northfield-Glencoe Chamber of Commerce was formed in 2021 after the merger of two active and vibrant chambers: the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce and the Glencoe Chamber of Commerce.
“The mission of the Winnetka-Northfield-Glencoe Chamber of Commerce is to support and encourage the development and success of local businesses for the benefit of our vibrant communities.”
The Winnetka-Northfield-Glencoe Chamber of Commerce is over 350 members strong and growing. The combined membership affords its members more services, a larger presence and a stronger voice in the community.
Within each district – Hubbard Woods, West Elm, East Elm, Indian Hill, Northfield, and Glencoe – there is pride and commitment to providing quality, value, expertise and personalized customer service. As Winnetka, Northfield, and Glencoe’s leading business advocate, the Winnetka-Northfield-Glencoe Chamber of Commerce welcomes you.
Northfield is the best of worlds, a thriving, desirable suburb and a village with hometown charm. Incorporated in 1926 and located 20 miles from the heart of Chicago’s loop. With a population of approximately 5,700 attracts those looking for a small-town way of life near large city.
The Village of Winnetka features tree-lined streets, sandy beaches, renowned schools, outstanding parks, quality recreational facilities, a centralized community house, local non-profit organizations, and numerous houses of worship. The Village of Winnetka features four distinct shopping districts: Hubbard Woods, East Elm, West Elm and Indian Hill. As its name suggests Winnetka is truly a “beautiful land.”
The Village of Northfield is a home rule municipality governed by a Village president and six trustees (the “Village Board”).
The President of the Board of Trustees is elected for a four year term and serves as the chief elected official of the Village and presides at all Board of Trustees meetings and ceremonial occasions.
Winnetka has a Council-Manager form of government.
Council meetings are held in the Village Hall Council Chamber at 7:30 in the evening on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Agendas are available at the library or on this web site. A portion of every council meeting is set aside to hear comments from Winnetka residents regarding any Village issue.
