For 45 years, the Red Invitation has been a cherished part of the Winnetka, Northfield, and Glencoe Holiday Shopping Tradition! While the Winnetka-Northfield-Glencoe Chamber organizes this festive weekend, it’s our local retailers who truly bring the magic to life. Shoppers leave with perfect gifts, wrapped with care and holiday spirit!

This year, the Red Invitation will be held on Sunday, December 8th, 2024, continuing the tradition of celebrating our local businesses. Retailers will have the opportunity to extend their dates (Some may include Friday and/or Saturday) to accommodate you, creating a truly unforgettable experience.

This year, generously sponsored by the Villages of Winnetka, Northfield, and Glencoe, the Red Invitation will arrive in your mailbox in late November/early December.

The invitation itself is a beautifully designed vibrant red flyer, featuring a list of participating merchants, their holiday offerings, and a handy map for easy navigation—Shop Local and discover one-of-a-kind gifts and specialty items — all with the benefit of free parking! In addition, a QR code will direct you to more information about the Red Invitation including links to the website for each participating business.
