The Annual Northfield Farmers’ Market Corn Roast was held on Saturday, August 22 under sunny skies, perfect market conditions. Market goers showed up to not only support the weekly vendors but the Northfield Food Pantry, the beneficiary of funds generated by the sale of the freshly roasted corn.  Sunset Foods provided the roaster and the corn and Northfield Township volunteers manned the roasters!  It was a successful day for both the Northfield Food Pantry and the vendors at the Market! The Northfield Lions Club will be hosting the Lions Club of Illinois Diabetic Retinopathy Screenings Bus on September 12. They will conduct free screenings for Diabetic Retinopahty. Harvest Fest and Not for Profit day will be September 26.  The market will run through October 17, 7:30am-12:30pm rain or shine at 6 Happ Road in Northfield, across the street from New Trier High School’s Northfield Campus.
